Contribute to The Language Sector's multilingual Language Bookshelf

BookshelfFor a successful language professional specialisation is key. However, you should not overlook the various other dimensions the language sector has to offer. Your customers, your family, friends and acquaintances expect you to have a broad linguistic knowledge. They ask you all kinds of questions about language or approach you whenever they are looking for a good book on language.

But how can you maintain this broad perspective? The Language Sector has a fitting answer: The Language Bookshelf.

What is The Language Bookshelf?

A multilingual bookshelf (offline here at our offices and online on The Language Sector website) with as many language books as possible with a scientific base, but which are written with the wider public in mind. The Language Bookshelf can be found on the menu on the left in the "Books" category.

So, what have we got so far?

A shelf, about 50 books on language written in German, French, English, Spanish, Italian and Dutch and all of the blurbs, which have been translated into about 20 languages, so that you can easily pick the book with the language insights you are looking for (either for yourself, your customers or your family and friends). If a book exists in translation, the available languages are listed, so you can enjoy the book in the language of your choice.

And, what do we need?

Even more books, particularly in languages other than German, French, English, Spanish, Italian and Dutch so that The Language Bookshelf can truly show its multilingual spirit.
