The book "Objective Translation Evaluation: Matrices and benchmarks" was published by Acco. The book was edited by Chris Van de Poel and Winibert Segers.
How do you evaluate a translation objectively? How do you measure translation competence in a reliable and valid way? How do you measure the quality of a translation without the evaluation depending on the assessor? This book proposes an approach with matrices and benchmarks. The starting point is that you increase objectivity and transparency of the evaluation by using matrices and benchmarks.
